Department Manager, Industrial Engineering
(2008 to 2013)
Management of (8) Industrial Engineering groups (total of up to
65 professionals) within Production Operations of Sikorsky
Aircraft. Responsible for the evaluation of labor variance,
manufacturing plans, manpower and capacity planning. Ensure all
hiring plans and financial budgets are met. Establishing
Industrial Engineering standard work at throughout manufacturing
operations, offsite locations, joint ventures and outside
suppliers.
. Reduction of internal cost on detail parts manufacturing by
over 15%, resulting in over $50M annual savings.
. Resourced commercial aircraft cabin assembly work in Asia
resulting in over $10M per year in savings.
. Procured new facility in Europe, increasing international
military aircraft capacity by over 50% and reducing
aircraft cost by over $5M annually

Manager, Industrial Engineering- Assembly and Flight Operations
(2004 to 2008)
Responsible for ensuring all production processes for Commercial
Helicopter and Military Helicopter assembly operations are lean
and cost effective in order to meet cost targets and customer
deliveries. Managed an Industrial Engineering team (8-10
employees) responsible for facilities planning, capacity
planning, capital equipment justification and procurement,
ergonomics, safety, quality, cost, schedule, performance
monitoring, rate tooling analyses, offload evaluation, detailed
manpower analyses, and all matters relating to efficiency, for
all production and development within the assembly operations
areas. Participated on many Kaizen events in transforming the
assembly operations.

2004)
Industrial Engineering support for the Comanche aircraft,
including assembly and detail manufacturing departments.
Participated on Kaizen events for the Composites production
facility and the Major/Final Assembly area, resulting in a 50%
reduction in space requirements. Managed capital equipment
planning and justification of a $7.2M manufacturing capital
plan, ensuring lean production facilities and the optimum
manufacturing costs. Evaluation of manufacturing plans, make-
buy decisions, manpower and capacity planning. Responsible for
manufacturing labor estimating for all detail components.
Analyze and determine causes of cost overruns to prevent
recurrence.
Project Industrial Engineer - Comanche Program
(1999 to 2001)
Advanced technology helicopter developed for the U.S. Army
utilizing leading edge materials and designed based on lean
manufacturing principles. Responsible for Design to Cost for the
Comanche prototype aircraft labor and material cost goals for
the Sikorsky portion of this joint venture, including labor
estimating and learning curve analyses, as well as the cost
performance of a major suppliers. Met with government
personnel for negotiations, and provided adequate rational and
justification.
