Values Statement -

Throughout my working life I have developed a set of values that I bring to

every job regardless of the industry or the employer. These core values are the

standard that I use to measure my success and conduct my everyday life.

Reliability is very important to me. I believe it is important to the

employer/employee relationship. I feel like I have always made a special effort to

make my past employers feel like I was someone that they could count on, and I

am proud to say that I have never been late or absent. Loyalty is another value I

treasure and try to apply to my employer, I believe loyalty is a necessity for any

relationship and is vital for the development of a productive employee. From my

experience there is nothing better than a feeling of loyalty and trust for the

company you work for, this is what makes me want to be the very best I can be.

Last but not least, honesty is absolutely essential in the workplace. It is

extremely important to me that my employer can trust what I say and do and that

in return I can do

the same about them. I think these values are the basis of a healthy and

productive relationship between me and any employer.

I began my education at Concord strait out of high school in the fall of 2004. I was the

recipient of a prestigious merit based scholarship that provided me a full paid scholarship

to any four year institution in the state of West Virginia. I was also awarded several other

scholarships for high ACT test scores and graduating with a GPA above 3.5. While at

Concord University I studied a Political Science and Pre-law curriculum as well as a

variety of general study courses. I left Concord at the end of 2006 to pursue starting a

family, beginning my working career.

While attending high school I developed many of the attributes that I believe make me

an asset to any company. Hard work, reliability, and dependability are some of the traits

that I learned in school. I was a member of the National Honor Society, as well as, The

NationalSociety of High School Scholars. I graduated my high school with high honors and

a GPA of 3.5, and ranked in the top 10% of students nationwide on the ACT college

admittance test.

Mechanic/ General Laborer- 09/28/2013- Present

My current job responsibilites are to maintain all electrical, hydraulic, and high

pressure pumping systems on all equipment, as well as, performing preventive

maintenance according to the company's PM system. I also help with general work

such as laying pipelines, setting pumps, operating equipment and other general labor

tasks.

Utility Worker - 09/2012- Present

My job responsibilities included general labor duties such as advancing pipeplines and

airlines, maintenance on pressure pumping equipment, and operating heavy equipment

such as, Bobcat skid steer loaders, forklifts,and front end loaders to keep supplies moved

back and tool carts advanced. I also helped in maintenance such as welding, cutting, and

general equipment servicing.

Machine Operator- 04/2010-09/2012

As a longwall machine operator I was responsible for 95% of the production on my shift.

The machine I operated was controlled by PLC's from a computer several hundred feet

away. I was responsible for the operating as well as the troubleshooting of this machine

that produced $2400 a minute for the company I worked for. I can say proudly that I was

the most efficient and knowledgeable operator at the company. I also performed many

forms of maintenance on the machines’ electrical and hydraulic systems, voltages ranging

from 12,470 to 24V.

General Labor/ Maintenance-

The first year of my employment I was a general laborer. I worked on a huge variety of

different tasks such as, operating equipment, welding, pipe work, masonry work, cutting

with torches, and track work and repair. I worked on a variety of general maintenance

tasks such as installing drive bolts and torque to specification, as well as greasing and

changing oil in drive gearboxes. After starting out as a general laborer just shortly after my

first year there I was chosen to fill one the most important positions in the company, I feel

that their choice to do this was directly influenced by my proven work ethic. I am proud to

say that I gave my very best to this employer and I am sure that everyone I worked for

would agree.

Pumper-

In this position I was responsible for laying and maintaining pipelines, as well as, setting

and installing centrifugal pumping systems for dewatering.

Conveyor Technician- 08/2008-04/2010

At this job I traveled to various industrial sites working on customer’s conveyor

systems. The work I did consisted mostly of vulcanized splicing, temporary splicing, and

permanent belt repairs. I spliced a large variety of conveyor belts ranging from light and

heavy duty fabric ply belts to cleated PVC and steel corded belts. On the job site our work

normally required that I operate various pieces of heavy equipment such as excavators,

dozers, manlifts, and forklifts, to get our splicing equipment where it needed to be. The

work was mostly outdoors sometimes in extremely bad weather, and the hours were

extremely long. The experience learning to maintain all types of conveyor systems is

valuable in almost any industry and I feel that I learned a great deal about bringing great

customer service to every jobsite.

Skills and Qualifications-

Maintenance skills and qualifications:

I am proficient in welding, pipework, pump systems, pneumatic and hydraulic

troubleshooting as well as conveyor maintenance. I also have some experience with

electrical systems ranging from 24V to 12470V working as an electrical apprentice.

Heavy Equipment qualifications:

I hold my CDL-A permit with experience operating as well as simple maintenance on the

following pieces of heavy equipment:

Bulldozers, dump trucks, backhoes, excavators, Bobcat loaders, track loaders, various

track mounted equipment, various forklifts and manlifts.

I currently have my WV Assistant Mine Foreman Certification

I hold Certified Miner certificates in the following states:

Virginia

I also hold my Apprentice Electrical card in the state of West Virginia.
