Research Intern at Georgetown University Washington DC (August 2012 -
January 2013)
. Phytotoxicity of nanoparticles: Inhibition of seed germination and
root growth.
Examining the effect of phytotoxicity of different concentrations of
nanoparticle (Aluminium oxide, Silver disperse and Titanium oxide) on plant
seeds (Mustard, Tomato and Lettuce) by measuring their seed germination
growth and root length (August 2012- December 2012)
. Demonstration of the effect of RNAi to shut down GFP product in C-
elegans.
The experiment was carried out using C. Elegans as the model organism, and
RNAi feeding method of worms used also to demonstrate the shutdown
effect.( December 2012- February 2013)

mixing during drug production in the mixing sections and

and ensures that drugs are in good condition ready for its
tableting process to take place.

process checking like: weight checking, appearance, capping,
poor feeding etc.
. Ensured that the blistered drug at the blistering section have
their manufactured date, expiring date, batch number etc clearly
visible on the blistered pack.
. Dry Syrup: Monitored during the dry syrup production by ensuring
proper corking of the bottle to avoid caking of the drug and
label appearance.
. Liquid Syrup: Supervised the filling of the syrup in the bottle
by checking the cleanliness of the environment, corking and
labelling on the syrup bottle.
. Ensured that the empty capsules in the capsule section are in
good condition, monitored the capsule filling machine to avoid
closing of empty capsule without the drug inside.
. Supervised the packing process and ensured good condition of the
packaged drugs before its dispatch.
. Reviewed batch records for accuracy and completeness.
. Ensured proper treatment of water at the water section before
its filling into the bottle, monitored the blowing machine to
avoid blowing wrong shaped bottle, ensured the manufactured,
expiring and batch number are clearly displayed on the wall of
the bottle.
