PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Senior Telecommunications Engineer / Cisco Lead: Black Box Network Services - Present
Currently Cisco Lead responsible for managing the Cisco Enterprise for the Department of
Transportation. Duties include maintenance and support for the Cisco Call Manager(CUCM), Cisco
Unity Connection (CUC) and the Cisco (UCCX) Call Center application which supports the DOT Service
Desk. Also provide support for the remote field offices using the Cisco Call Manger Express (CME)
systems. Other management duties include support and maintenance for 10 FAA Nortel Option 11C-61C
PBX systems. As part of the Black Box on-site team we support the many other systems such as Remedy,
Dialogic Gateways, Cisco 3845 PRI Gateways, Cisco 2951 Routers. The team also supports a SL100 and
CS2100 PBX and VOIP and assist in ticket resolution dispatch to the field technicians. Other duties
include task order management, technical research and writing, vendor management. I also have
managed the Cisco CUCM and UCCX system upgrades. DOT currently has over 7,000 users utilizing the
Cisco services via VOIP or Voice Mail.
Telecommunications System Design Specialist; Shared Technologies (Employer) 2008 to 2011
Contractor/consultant for Avaya Government Solutions Inc. supporting the programming and
implementation team in the SSA Telephone System Replacement Program (TSRP) . We are part of a
larger Design and Engineering team tasked with replacing over 90, 0000 legacy telephones and phone
systems by converting the customer to a Nortel CS1000 VOIP Geographic Redundant Solution which
includes main distribution sites and hundreds of branch (CS1000B) offices all managed through
Telephony Manager, Call Center applications, IVR Solutions, local 911, 411 and emergency disaster
recovery solutions. I am also tasked to work with the various engineering, VNOC and helpdesk personnel
in Incident and MAC trouble ticket resolution. Manage all aspects of field teams from initial site survey
to installation of the various systems from Telco to the SYMON call center reporting systems. Process
any and all data that comes into the site and ensure that all workflow, call flow, personnel and peripherals
are all recorded in the data collection tool and processed by the various teams such as Engineering, MIS,
IVR and Call Center, Data Access. Coordinate and manage the entire data collection process through out
the lifecycle of the project sites tasked to convert to the VOIP solution.

totaling 53 locations.
• Manage NORTEL Options 81C, Call Pilot, Optivity, MIRAN, AVAYA Definity G3, Prologic, Intuity,
3COM NBX, INTERTEL, Centrex ISDN telecom and voice mail systems as well as any CTI, Call
Center, PRI Carrier network hardware interfaces at multiple client sites.
• Managed a staff of 7 which included 1 telecom manager, 2 telecom analysts and 4 communications
administrators.
• Managed multiple outsourced vendor operations for remote site support across the country.
• Managed diverse call center applications MDR Avotus Telecom Web for Call Detail and Traffic
analysis, AVAYA CMS, BCMS, wall boards, real-time report generation, internal telecom LAN/WAN
design.
• Managed the relocation and closings of 30 sites and 800 employees in 25 states which included PBX,
PRI’s, call centers and 800# redirection to facilitate the integration of a new company acquisition.
• Managed internal video and teleconferencing for both internal system and outsourced services.
• Provided 24/7 supports to the corporate Network Operations Center in Texas, Maryland and
California.
• Provided vendor contract negotiations regarding PBX maintenance, Call Center applications
maintenance, MCI 800 routing plan for Shared Technologies Fairchild (new acquisition).
• Provided vendor contract cost analysis, budget review and recommendations to senior management .

• Designed Corporate Disaster Recovery Plan for both inclement weather and terrorist attack
