Experience • Joined the United States Marine Corps in 2008, where I obtained my
Military Specialty Occupation as an Engineer Equipment Electrical
Systems Technician.
• Attended Residential Wiring Course at Orange Coast College.
• Attended a Microsoft Applications Course at Mira Costa College.
• Attended a course on graphics communications at Mira Costa College
where use of AutoCAD 2013 was the primary software used throughout
the entirety of the course.
Results: • After four years in the Marine Corps I attained the ability to troubleshoot,
solder and repair Solid States and Devices. Along with these traits I
also attained the ability to read and understand schematic and wiring
diagrams. Throughout these four years I also learned to operate,
troubleshoot, and fix HVAC equipment.
• During the Microsoft Applications Course I attained more skills in the
use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint. I was
able to create documents where hyperlinks, tables of contents, figures,
tables, graphs and spreadsheets were used. Upon completion of the
course I gave a presentation where the proficiency and use of all
Microsoft Applications, including Microsoft Access, were put to the test.
• Upon completion of the Drafting 110 Class, I had attained a more in
depth understanding in the creation of 2D and 3D Drawings with the
use of the AutoCAD 2013 software. Gained understanding of the
different types of 2D drawings such as Isometric, Exploded Isometric,
Orthographic, Sectionals (Full, Half, Broken, Cross Sectionals). I also
learned about dimensioning and scaling drawings both with manual
sketching and in Computer Aided Drafting Software.
