within the retail petroleum industry and aims to develop the mathematical techniques behind dynamic
demand modelling and pricing decision support systems.
In summary, investigated algorithms to help improve the optimisation of retail vehicle fuel pricing.
Involved developing mathematical techniques used to forecast daily sales, to forecast competitor
prices and for overall price optimisation. Developed detailed knowledge and understanding in these
areas whilst refining analytical skills. Composing academic documents also advanced written
communication skills.
Implementation and testing of new methodologies primarily completed in the programming language
and software environment R. Grounding was also attained in the relational database management
