LOBLAW COMPANY LTD. 08-2001 / 10-2012

SR. SYSTEM ANALYST / SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Loblaw Companies Limited is the largest food retailer in Canada with over 1,000 corporate and franchise

supermarkets operating under 22 regional and market segment banners .

SR. SYSTEM ANALYST

Designed a 5 day training workshop for 8 team members of the Application Support department on the new

Forecast and Replenishment JDA software infrastructure, eliminating the need for an external vendor.

Designed the architecture of Replenishment batch module using CA Autosys R11 suite as part of major

supply chain rebuilding initiative resulting in error free implementation of JDA nightly processes.

Conducted JAD session with stakeholders (Supply Chain) for the DataBase Cleansing process. Define

objectives, logic behind the process and generate functional specifications, later signed by the business.

Functional specifications were later the input for the creation of the technical specifications.

Gathered requirements from key stakeholders in the Transport and Warehouse Management Systems to

analyze, design and implement an interface with the Order Management system creating a cross functional

reconciliation process for vendor purchase orders.

Collected information, define objectives and outputs in several JAD sessions with the Supply Chain Manager

and analysts for the “Vendor Collaboration” module. Functional specs were created and signed by the

business, which later was the base document for writing the technical specs.

Designed, developed, tested and implemented vendor’s accounts that allow them to review their orders and

status, eliminating manual operation and expediting communication with the buyers .

Defined with the Supply Chain Analyst the purpos e and how to perform massive updates into the Security

system. Functional specs were generated and approved by the business.

Implemented automated procedure in the Security module of the procurement system to perform massive

updates to user profiles, thereby streamlining the process for maintaining users to access functional menus

of distribution centers.

Gathered and asses information from the Quebec Supply Chain office, and create the functional

specification for a procedure which control critical selected products for their daily operation.

Designed, developed, tested and implemented a process for keeping track of items defined as “critical” for

Lead the project to provide flexibility to the business to use warehouse systems to purchase, control and

Developed, tested and implemented a process that keeps track of all imported products, in order fulfill

Canada Custom audits request and bring accurate records of all transactions from origine to end.

Supported the business in their functional operation in 24/7 basis, as well as the on-line and batch

processes of the Procurement and Forecast systems.

SANTANDER BANK OF CHILE 01-1998 / 06-2001

of commercial and retail banking services in Chilean peso and foreign currency, and financial services such as

financial leasing, mutual fund management, securities and insurance brokerage and investment management.

Gather business information from multiples sources and levels of the organization, create detailed business

requirements documents and transform them into technical requirements specifications for later

development and implementation of new modules of the ATM system such as the “smart card” module and

“pre-paid cards” module.

Manage the relationship with external companies such as Red-Bank for the proper execution of the ATM

software that runs in the bank’s servers.

Project evaluation, implementation plan, execution and coordination of the purchase and installation of

hardware and software for the bank financial subsidiaries such as Leasing, Factoring, Mutual Funds and

Stock Exchange. Dealt with external software and hardware providers. Projects included from the

acquisition of a new telephone central system, to servers and application software.

Prepared and conducted requir ements presentations for senior executives about new software and

platforms for their financial operations for Factoring, Leasing, as well as Osorno bank .

Team leader in the analysis, redesign, development, testing and implementation of the Saving Account

system, with over a 75% reduction in the daily run time and use of resources (from 3:45 hrs to 1:00 hrs).
