Served as both Programmer/Analyst and Technical Lead for the specialized
group named Strategic Business Initiatives, which aims at improving
profitability and avoiding potential loss, by monitoring and analyzing
data, identifying errors and trending through online tools/reports that
are built in house and interface with legacy and remote applications.
Designed and developed KPI Dashboard (designed for both iPads and
Desktop) which is a high visibility online application aimed at
monitoring Key Performance Indicators and developed an alerting system to
notify recipients of potential problems and/or business opportunities.
Was involved in developing and implementing an online reporting tool
named New Items Analysis, which is used by the company to monitor new
items that are being sold across the chain and provide loss sales average
if one or more stores sold the new item. This application helps stores
keep track of new items and avoid potential loss because of popular/high
moving items.
Generate adhoc reports and/or Crystal Reports as needed. Optimized SQL

As a Sr. Systems Analyst/Project Lead for HR and Learning Center
applications, was assigned to handle the rewrite of the Learning Center
Portal to be a one stop shop for all training and certification
requirements as required by the Public Service Commission. I designed an
AJAX based, kiosk style front-end that can be accessed from within the
company and remotely. This front-end was designed to interface with
vendor system for seamless access to online training materials. Was
responsible for overseeing the overall design, coding and corporate
standards, SOX compliance, gathering user requirements and meetings.
Administered cost estimate, system reviews and vendor evaluation for the
conversion of paper based exam/test to online testing. Configured server
hosts (Windows 2003 server and ISS 6) and its interfaces to in-house
systems.
Investigated issues on several systems in a timely manner and helped out

utilizing wireless communications and MQ series. Implemented validation and

Assigned to handle the development and integration of the new Fire
Endorsement System to the existing Fire System. Designed and coded the
extraction of endorsement transactions and uploaded them to the mainframe
for batch processing. Included an additional segment in the HIDAM database
to hold the endorsement transactions. Revised all programs impacted by the
new endorsement segment in the database. Provided documentation manuals,
user/operator training and assistance.
Performed production support for the entire product line (Fire, Motor,
Personal Accident and Casualty) across all district offices including the
head office. The entire system uses Clipper 5.2 as the front end, COBOL,
CICS, DB2, VSAM, HIDAM, IMS DB/DC, DL/I, MicroFocus COBOL Workbench on the
back-end.
Participated in the conceptualization and detailed design of the Basic
Employee Information System (BEIS) which maintains all pertinent employee
information. Responsibilities included development of system design flow,
file layouts, and creation of program specifications. Created a document
generation program that printed computerized TIN and SSS certification.
Developed and implemented the LogBox machine which uses laser technology
to swipe and store the Daily Time Record of all employees. Maintained and
downloaded all data from the Logbox machine and processed them as an
input to Basic Employee Information System. Generated reports for Daily
Time Record for cashiering and performance appraisal using Clipper 5.2
and COBOL.
