and exceed its growing and constant challenges

TECHNICAL BACKGROUND

CTO for a large medical corporation, I started there with a new building running cable and installing

●

racks, built every IT system they have from Database and Web applications to physical security, CCTV

and badge access points, phone switching and remote access, all IT security systems. Ended up with a

team of 13 employees running the entire Operational side of the business.

Incident Response manager (Nationwide) for a major Network Monitoring company largely catering to

financial institutions. Started with just me, the job included 24 hr response internationally. At one point I

was flying overseas every week to try and catch someone breaking into an International Bank.

Designed and deployed the high speed WAN for DirecTV as they expanded into two buildings and a

●

total of 12 floors in downtown Los Angeles. As a consultant working for Cisco systems part of the

design was the brand-new Router Switch Module (RSM). I spent a week on the phone with the

developers at Cisco as they tweaked the firmware on the RSM IOS and sent me new ones to try.

One of the top-ten fastest growing companies in the dot-com era signed a contract with Microsoft to

train their consultants in MCSE. I was tasked with building a lab and educational boot-camp program to

accomplish this, with three sites nationwide. I did so on-time and under budget, and taught the first three

boot-camps with a 90% success rate.

I was hired to train the entire IT staff at Quicksilver, Inc in Newport Beach, CA in new technologies and

manage their migration to an all Microsoft network.

I was picked to attend the Microsoft Rapid Deployment Program for the roll-out of Active Directory, in

●

the security department, and then went on to help roll AD out in the very first company to use it, Pfizer

Pharmaceutical.

Designed and deployed the high-availability routing design that Intuit uses for its online banking system.
