Cas Apanowicz is an accomplished and internationally recognized BI/EDW practitioner with
over 17 years of experience.
He is the founder and first CEO of Infobright - the vendor of Data Warehouse - BI solution
that was named by Gartner group "The Coolest Vendor of 2009" and in 2010 was put on the
Gartner's Magic Quadrant.
He has several publications in the general area of Information Technology with specific focus
on Enterprise Architecture and DW/BI. He was also a guest speaker and a co-chairmen of
international conferences devoted to newest trends in IT Architecture SOA and DW/BI.
As a recognized expert IT Architect he is frequently invited by major publishers for a peer
review of work of other practitioners and scientists in the area of his expertise.
Throughout his career, Mr. Apanowicz has held consulting roles with Fortune 500 companies
across North America, including Canadian Government (CBSA), Provincial Governments
(Ontario and BC), and Royal Bank of Canada, the New York Stock Exchange, Honda USA,
and many others.
He holds the Master Degree in Mathematics and Bachelor Degree in Computer Science.

Managed 12 – 50 member development teams
in many different capacities: CTO, CEO and
President of R&D. The result of this effort was
the creation of the first ever columnar RDBMS
and first company that become the vendor of the
columnar DBMS.
The author and champion of the new
methodology in EDW called Data Warehouse
Discovery that was published in Springer - a
major North American & World publishing
house.
This methodology, published also in DM Review
Magazine, allows clients to have first glimpse of
the BI/DW before its build. This way, before the
large budged was committed to build the Data
Warehouse; clients were able to verify the
correctness of any new hypothesis therefore
significantly reducing risk of failure.
Data Warehouse Discovery was recently adopted
by Canadian Government and Mr. Apanowicz
was invited to present this methodology and its
practical implementation on the international
conference in Orlando in summer 2012.
