Maths for Intelligent Systems, Computer Architecture, HCI
BACHELOR S OF ELECTRONICS & COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING, MAY 2009
GURU GOBIND SINGH INDRAPRASTHA UNIVERSITY, NEW DELHI, INDIA
Skills Summary
Proficient in: C Familiar With: C++, Java Scripting: HTML,PHP,VBS
Source Control: Perforce, Git, SVN Operating System: Linux, Windows
Professional Experience
SOFTWARE ENGINEER AT QUALCOMM INC. (JULY’12-TILL DATE)
Working with Windows Engineering team.
Worked on ARM Architecture to implement the modules in C.
Integrating the changes with the whole build and test it with the whole framework.
RESEARCH ASSISTANT AT UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA. (AUG’11-APRIL’12)
CAMEL a system that uses crowd to improve the outcome of the machine learning algorithms
Designed the interface to push questions to the Crowd over AMT, to minimise the number of questions
to be asked in graphical models like CRF and naïve Bayesian. Experimented over bibliographic data and
used chained CRF model to find the most uncertain nodes. Uncertainity was calculated using Entropy.
RESEARCH ASSOCIATE AT INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECH.,DELHI (JULY’09-JULY’10)
Distributed Object Recognition by a team of intelligent robots:
o Simulation environment was developed using OpenGl where there were robots were foraging in
swarm mechanism and the target was distributed. Next View Planning was implemented.
o Each robot was mounted with camera and the detection of part was implemented using viola
jones detection algorithm. The posterior probability was calculated after each part classes were
detected.
o Development was done using : C++,Opencv, OpenGL
Pereception driven video conferencing concept:
o Study of the road block of having immersive video conferencing system. Developed basic p2p
video, audio and handwriting transfer using java swings.
GRADER FOR DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS. (JAN’12-APRIL’12)
PROJECTS
Manage all aspects of day-to-day operations as multi-site owner and practitioner of Contoso, Ltd.:
o Developed a programming language which supports nested maps and arithmetic operations on it.
For this developed Scanner, Parser, abstract syntax tree for the defined lexical structure,
performed context checking and generated byte code with the help of ASM 4.0 . Implemented in
Java and created Junit Tests
o Developed code for MIPS simulator in C++ for Computer Architecture. Implemented Score-
boarding algorithm
NiluNalini
Token Based Mutual Exclusion: Implemented the Suzuki/Kasami Broadcast algorithm,
o
implemented strong reader over five different clients, done socket programming in Java.
o Developed a model for the Wikipedia with integrated features of pictorial and textual
information over the keywords and ran user study to study the user experience for HCI course.
o Concurrent Reader- Exclusive Writer Problem (CREW) implemented in Java. The
implementation consists of a server that maintains a shared object for concurrent read and
exclusive write accesses and several reader/writer clients on remote machines communicating
with the server using socket on TCP/IP protocol suite.
o Worked on detection of quadratic phase coupling between line frequencies and estimation of
their coupling strengths acoustic signals. Analyzed a Wav File and generated data using a C code
(IIT, Delhi )
Internship
Software developer at Clinical Translational Research at University of Florida. Successfully
o
completed task on Three separate project using PHP, SQL and JavaScript . The whole
development was carried out on a MVC platform called CakePhP (May’11-Aug’11)
o Development of web portal in HTML for Understanding the Centralized Reservation System
for University of Guelph & Meridian Reservations Systems, Canada (June'08 - Aug'08)
o Developed automatic upload of the tender page for NIC, New Delhi in .net using C# and
MySQL.(Jun’07-Aug’07)
Publication
Submitting Research paper on “CAMel: : Reducing Uncertainty in Machine Learning by
o
Leveraging Support from the Crowd” at 39th International Conference on Very Large Databases
(http://vldb.org/2013/).
Activities/Awards
Achievement Award holder, got 50% tution fee waived during Masters at University of Florida
o
BEC Representative & Event Coordinator for ASCIE at University of Florida(Jan’11-May’12)
o
IEEE student branch Industrial Affair Chair, Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology
o
(March’08- March ‘09)
Event organizing, planning and sponsorship head at IEEE Technical festival, done under
o
banner of IEEE student branch
