Presently working as a shift incharge (hot strip mill)

Key Responsibilities Handled

> Production Planning & Control

o Planning day-to-day strategies, production schedules, along with

resource allocation and machine loading for optimum output.

o Coordinating the entire development including working on Hot Strip

Mill entailing requirement analysis, planning, finalizing

specifications.

o Minimizing performance bottlenecks for high productivity with

maximization of men, material & machine.

o Appraising the prevalent production systems/ processes, identifying

loopholes if any and undertaking result-oriented measures for

alleviating them and documenting the same.

> Operations & Maintenance

o Planning and effecting predictive & preventive maintenance schedules

of plant equipments to increase machine up time and reliability.

o Proactively identify areas of obstruction/ defects and conducting root

cause analysis/ failure mode & effect analysis to rectify the

equipments.

o Coordinating material/ spare parts planning related activities

encompassing identification of vendors, requirement specification &

offer evaluation.

> Quality & Process Enhancement

o Taking stringent quality measures including preparation of necessary

documents to ensure compliance with above standards & customer

requirements.

o Identifying scope for

- Planning and implementing technological changes and

automation of level 2 to enhance efficiency.

- Modifications in equipments, process flow, working practices,

consumables etc. for controlling & reducing conversion cost per

unit produced.

o Implementing various techniques for cycle time / cost reduction,

entailing identification of opportunities, analysis of data,

conducting tests, cost benefit analysis and implementation.

> Man Management

o Leading & motivating workforce; imparting continuous on job training

for accomplishing greater operational effectiveness/ efficiency.

o Working on succession planning of the workforce, rendering technical

guidance to the staff, shift management activities, appraising the

member's performance & providing feedback.

1996 Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 61.72% from Sandur

Polytechnic, Sandur.
