Missouri has passed into law, HB 1498, which modifies prompt pay guidelines and notification requirements
for fully insured and non-ERISA self funded benefit plans where the underwriting insurer is licensed in MO or
has services rendered by a provider located in Missouri. The new guidelines are effective with claims
received as of 1-1-2011 if received electronically. This mandate was worked in phases, 3 phases of
requirements were included in SSCR 10833 and the remaining requirements in this project. In this project
we are including a systematic approach to separating the Interest and Penalty into the GL account and
reporting it separately as well to the various Data Warehouses and backend reporting systems.
