1. Thesis: Development of Air foil thrust bearing test rig
• Fabricated air foil thrust bearing with different top foil contour that is Rayleigh step and Taper flat contour
• Developed Labview VI for data acquisition system to monitor parameters like Torque, Temperature,
Pressure, Vibration and Axial load and did all the commissioning of the rig
• Evaluated Structural Stiffness of air foil thrust bearing with varying clearance
• Analyzed the importance of clearance, cooling air flow and coating in turbomachinery applications
2. Projects :
• Fabricated and assembled air foil thrust bearing using spot welding machine
• Quality check of fabricated parts in terms of tolerance
• Used vertical milling machine and solidworks software to perform assembly modification in test rig set up
