Title : You Shop, We Reward

Client : AC Moore.

Description:

A.C Moore is an art & crafts store where the customers shop in-store and

online. The store has been implemented with new system "You Shop, We

Reward". The main aim of the programme is to input new customers and

enhance the revenue with rewards. The project is implemented on

MicroStrategy. The project is an enterprise wide data warehouse which is

being updated by hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly data stage jobs.

The system will bring the data from various source systems into a reporting

environment and create reports. These reports will provide the ability to

the business users to analyze the Shop Your way Reward Operational data.

There will be a new data feed created to bring this data into the reporting

warehouse using Data stage. All the information will traverse inside SHC

network. Reports would be made available over the intranet. This system

provides the information about customer buying and spending behaviour.

This project mainly describes customer focus regarding Enrollments, Sales

&Transactions, sales by business units, earn and Redemptions points for the

loyalty customer along with store performance.

Responsibilities:

. Going through Report Specification Documents and Understanding the User

Requirements.

. Developed MicroStrategy schema objects like Attributes, Facts,

Transformations and Hierarchies in MicroStrategy.

. Expertise in creating Metrics, Prompts, Filters, consolidations, custom

groups, to develop Documents and Reports.

. Organized data in reports by using filters, ranking and highlighted data

with thresholds using micro strategy.

. Developed complex metrics using Conditional, Transformation, Smart and

Description:

This project is for the design and implementation of a high performance,

scalable, distributed storage and processing system for structured and

unstructured data. It is designed to manage the storage and processing of

information on a large cluster of commodity servers, providing resilience

to machine and component failures. Data is represented in the system as a

multi-dimensional table of information. The data in a table can be

transformed and organized at high speed by performing computations in

parallel, pushing them to where the data is physically stored.

Responsibilities:

. Responsible for understanding of the business needs of the organization.

. Designed MicroStrategy Documents and worked on customizations in

MicroStrategy web.

. Developed customized Reports using Templates, Metrics and Filters for

Business analysis with drill down options.

. Performing QA and production migrations of Microstrategy objects between

development, maintenance, and production environments using Object

Manager and Project Duplication process.

. Reduced the run time for the reports by monitoring the VLDB properties

like joins, query and sub query optimizations.

Title : Collateral Management System

Role : MicroStrategy Developer

Description:

Collateral Management System (CMS) is a GE Sales Finance intranet project

used by the collections department of sales finance. GE RSF provides

finance to customers for motor vehicles which are referred to as

Collaterals in this application. Any customer who is a defaulter of the

loan taken from GE to buy these collaterals would be tracked down using

this application. Notice of Default (NOD) letters are generated using this

CMS application which is one of the key functionality of this application.

After a NOD is generated the customer is sent a letter for notification.

After expiry of the

Notice Date the collateral will move into the Repossession phase in which a

vendor and an agent are assigned for each account. At this stage either the

customer pays the amount which is due to GE or the collateral is

repossessed and auctioned. The activity from the point where the account is

issued a notice of default to the payment, repossession or auction of the

collaterals related to the account are completed, CMS helps track down the

status of the account.

Responsibilities:

. Developed MicroStrategy reports and related objects

. Worked with Micro Strategy Desktop to develop application objects such as

Metrics, Filters and Prompts to compare monthly, quarterly and annual

sales.

. Extensively used Filters, prompts, custom Groups, Consolidations and

metrics to generate reports for business Analysis.

. Created custom expressions to build relationship filters according to

Business Logic.

. Generated reports in Grid and Graph mode, and used Prompts to provide the

end user with a choice for different filtering criteria when executing

the report.

. Involved in creating different transformations that can be used in time

series analysis.

. Developed Static and Ad-hoc reports using Prompts, Metrics, Filters,

Custom Groups, Consolidations and Transformations.
