Job Duties

• Communicate and respond effectively to customer questions about automotive merchandise and services,

locate merchandise, and provide requested assistance, such as verifying whether a particular automotive

product is in stock and providing estimated wait times.

• Understand and operate Bay Support System (BSS) computer equipment, including the handheld

terminal and BSS screen, to quickly and accurately process customer services, while following company

procedures such as prompt greeting, suggestive sales, vehicle inspection, and call and echo procedures.

• Directs outside flow of traffic and guides drivers to appropriate bay to await service.

• Directs customers into waiting area and provides identifying key tag/passport linking vehicle to the

services provided.

• Monitored the area for signs of shrink and potential security risks and keeps service area safe and secure

and contacts management and/or In-Store Loss Prevention when problems are identified. Also, responds

to spills and accidents as they occur while following company procedures for dealing with hazardous

fumes and chemical.

• Ensured a safe and clean environment by maintaining safety standards, maintenance, and cleanliness as

required by Tire and Lube Express (TLE) standards.

• Records results of visual inspection into handheld terminal and obtains customer signature, verifying the

results of visual inspection.

• Removes batteries from and installs new batteries into vehicles, following safety instructions for

installation and disposal of batteries.

• Demonstrates and utilizes product and technical knowledge about TLE services offered by providing

accurate and complete information to customers to assist with their automotive service decisions, such as

oil, tire, and battery recommendations.
