Technician
Technician with superior skills in electronic circuit assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.
Tested and debugged embedded instruments to the component level.
Circuits debugged to the component level included bridge circuits, power supplies, phase
sensitive demodulators, filters, servo amplifiers, transducers etc.
Electronic Testing and Troubleshooting Experience
● Debugged MPU based gas utility meters, SCUBA diving computers, carbon monoxide gas
detectors, and their Motorola 68HC05 MCU based test sets, enabling production to
continue.
● Helped debug Novel personal net ware SNMP main test set network by rerouting data lines,
replacing test contacts, and repairing contaminated databases.
● Tested electronic flight control units used for Atlas missile flight control, containing power
supplies, phase sensitive demodulators, filters, and servo amplifiers.
● Debugged circuit cards to the component level containing summing amplifiers, half wave
power supplies, temperature transducers, bridge circuits etc.
● Performed incoming receiving inspection and testing on inertial grade gyroscopes used for
flight control on Atlas missiles that put satellites into orbit from Vandenberg AFB.
● Added cost down circuits and components to Panasonic televisions. These include high
voltage circuits, switching power supplies, video luminance and color filters, audio stereo
circuits, and on screen TV guides.
● Repaired hot water heater by repairing water damaged PCB, and replacing non-functional
relays, enabling oil to be pumped.
● Trained other technicians, supervised electrical testing, and ensured standards compliance.
● Good at reading schematics.
● Took 3 radio theory courses offered by ARRL.
● Licensed General Class amateur radio operator KJ6GDT.
Mechanical Assembly Experience
● Stuffed and soldered circuit boards.
● General automotive repair experience including valve jobs.
● Mechanically assembled ocean going drift and data buoys.
Technical Documentation Experience
● Saved time and money by writing an electrical test plan for aircraft cables that avoided
rework.
● Incorporated redlines into proposed specifications, recognized for technical writing ability,
reports adopted as models of proper report writing.
