$ 3.0+ billion Corporation engaged in the manufacture & distribution of building products worldwide. Primary products include gypsum
wallboard, joint compound, cement boards and ceiling tile. USG’s subsidiaries and partners are active in over 140 countries worldwide, with
manufacturing and distribution facilities in the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa, Pacific and the Middle East.

Wastewater / Boiler Room Supervisor
o Promoted to supervisor of wastewater and boiler operations in support of a $100 million cement board & joint
compound manufacturing operation.
o Maintain and monitor steam and water systems within proper efficiency levels and cost parameters for
operational needs of the individual departments.
o Perform water analysis for the plant, evaluate and administer chemical treatment program to ensure proper
operating protection.
o Conduct/coordinate required wastewater testing for the Environmental Protection Agency and completion of air
and water reports. Assure compliance with EPA Title Five air and water regulations.
o Perform all supervisory responsibilities including scheduling, training and record keeping.
o Develop, maintain and monitor the highest level of safety standard possible for the employees under direct and
indirect control.
o Direct and coordinate the Boiler / Wastewater Treatment department’s preventive maintenance program.
Key Achievements
Cost Reductions Supported plant-wide cost-reduction effort during the housing downturn which reduced
staffing by 50%.
CAPEX Management
Participated in 2009 $3.2 million capital project to replace boiler systems on time and below
budget.
Process Enhancements
Assisted in the completion and start up of a $1.5 million wastewater treatment system
upgrade in 2011.
Safety Improvements
Leading participant in the Safety Team at USG facilities across the U.S. and Russia resulting
in fewer Lost Time Accidents. Achieved Green-Belt certification (Six-Sigma).
Team Performance
Strengthened team effectiveness by coordination of advanced training and cross training for
all team associates in the Energy / Environmental departments.
