Service Engineer
Function :
The technical service engineer is responsible for verifying that the
coating or lining work performed in accordance with the specification
and procedures. He coordinates with the Sales Engineers, Attending
Superintendents and respective clients on the technical service
aspects and paint supply for the different projects. The technical
service engineer recommends the proper surface preparation and paint
application after determining the general conditions of a particular
structure either marine or industrial project.
He coordinates with the superintendent and shipyard or dockyard
personnel or proper person in charge of the project regarding the
coating specification. He monitors the paint delivery and consumption
on project assigned.
He checks and review programs of works, supervise and conduct site
investigation, and perform final inspection on the projects and sees
to it that specification and coating design are strictly followed. He
prepares documentation, painting report & other pertinent data for
every accomplished project (ship repair, new shipbuilding job and
other industrial structures).
