ABSTRACT:
The main focus area of this project was to design Jigs and Fixtures for Mounting Air Brake Jack
used in the Air Brake assembly of HAWK Aircraft. Our project involved thorough study about
Jigs and Fixtures knowledge about the design principles involved in designing Jigs and Fixtures
and also basic knowledge of few design software. Our main aim was to reduce the number of
milling fixtures required to mill the component from 3 to 2, such that the cost involved in
manufacturing is reduced.
TOOLS USED:
CATIA V5 and Uni-Graphics software.
INDUSTRIAL VISITS/WORKSHOP/CONFERENCE PARTICIPATIONS
Industrial Visit to TVS Motors, Hosur, Tamil Nadu. Visit was for single day were, I got
the opportunity to look into the assembly and Production plants.
Industrial Visit to Hiten Fasteners, Bidadi, Karnataka. The Visit was for 2 days.
Attended National level workshop on Nano-technology and Nano-sciences at RNS
Institute of Technology.
