I started at Modern Welding as a Pipe Welder and put myself th ru college to

become a Designer and Estimator. After some corporate cuts I was put in charge of

many positions, including designing, sales, estimating, purchasing of (special

materials), and production scheduling and t rucking. I enjoyed the day-to-day

challenges and after some 10 years the company decided to cut back on more

personnel.

W hile being employed at the Modern Welding Company I was in charge of

t aking sales calls, giving estimates, and doing the design. Also coordinating with

t he shop supervisor so all the products f low th ru the shop in a t imely manner. I

handled all the t rucking, from hiring outside companies to making sure that our

d rivers stayed busy and was home on weekends. After the product gets shipped I

usually had to go to the sites to talk with the contractors about issues that can

make the next shipment go smoother. I also would have to go to job sites during to

b id procedure to get all the information needed to be competitive.

I believe that I can bring a lot to your company with minimal t raining. I

would like to sit down with you and talk more about your requirement and my

experiences.

T hank you for your time,

Sincerely

Kenneth J Simpson
