WORK EXPERIENCE
Post-Doctoral Fellow Advisor: Professor Omid Farokhzad MD Dec 2009-Present
Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School Boston, MA
Designed, and led several polymer-drug conjugates, di block, and tri block polymer synthesis projects for developing
novel targeted polymeric nanoparticle drug delivery systems for the treatment of cancer and cardiovascular
diseases
Synthesized and nanoengineered a library of LXR agonist containing nanoparticles and tested in vitro and in vivo for
anti-inflammatory effects. Developed highly novel statin containing nanoparticles for anti -atherosclerosis therapy
Synthesized and nanoengineered phenanthriplatin containing nanoparticles, and in vitro cytotoxicity evaluated on
several cancer cell lines, and in vivo efficacy studies were performed on prostate cancer xenograft models
Designed and synthesized novel biodegradable biomaterials for protein delivery and RNAi therapeutics
Led the labs efforts in the synthesis of several platinum based drug-polymer conjugates. Evaluated synergistic
cytotoxic effects between Platin based anticancer agents and anti-angiogenesis agents. Developed novel
nanotherapeutics containing multiple agents for combination chemotherapy
Developed, optimized and introduced to the group the use of drug combination and drug synergy calculation
software
Developed polymer and/or lipid-polymer hybrid multifunctional nanoparticle systems which contain two-photon
fluorescence imaging polymer, MRI imaging agent, and targeting ligand for targeted drug delivery and dual imaging

SURESH GADDE PhD
Post-Doctoral Associate Advisor: Professor Angel E. Kaifer Ph.D Dec 2006-Nov 2009
Department of Chemistry, University of Miami Coral Gable, FL
Synthesized several photo- and electro-active and/or electron paramagnetic resonance active moieties and
studied host-guest mechanisms with different host molecules with a aim of constructing novel analytical
methodologies for molecular switches, molecular rotors, and sensors
Synthesized of deep cavity host molecule octa acid. Different electro- and photoactive guest molecules were
encapsulated in dimeric octa acid capsules and studied electrochemical and photochemical process
Studied the controlled formation of H- and J-aggregates via host-guest complexation using cucurbituril hosts and
driving the formation of H- and J-aggregates with different polyelectrolytes and surfactants
Explored electronic communication between identical photo- and electro-active units via multiple H-bonding
Graduate Research Assistant Advisor: Professor Francis D’Souza, Ph.D Aug 2001-Nov 2006
Department of Chemistry, Wichita State University Wichita, KS
Designed, synthesized and performed spectroscopic, electrochemical, computational and photochemical studies
on different covalently and non-covalently linked porphyrin fullerene dyads
Studied applications in building artificial photosynthetic systems mimics
Performed studies on intra- and intermolecular photo-induced electron transfer processes. Promoted multi-step
electron and/or energy transfer processes in well-defined redox gradients
Worked as teaching assistant in organic and analytical chemistry
