Main Project:

Project Title: Automation of Digester in Chemical Pulp Mill at Hindustan

Newsprint Limited, Piravam, Kerala, a unit of Hindustan Paper

Corporation Ltd.

Description: The aim of this project is to automate the sequence of

operation of the Digester in Chemical Pulp mill; Cooking of wood chips is

carried out in digester for the formation of pulp. The automation tool used

is the CS 3000 YOKOGAWA DCS. The project includes a detailed study of

Distributed control system (DCS), the cooking process & other

instrumentation systems and programming of the DCS system to automate the

cooking sequence.

Mini Project:

Project Title: Password Detector And Person Counter

Description: The main concept of this project is to measure and

display the number of persons entering in a room. It serves the

functionality of a Door-latch opening automated with a stepper motor and

password entered through the keypad. A temperature sensor is also used to

sense the temperature inside the room to control the working of an AC. PIC

16F877A programmed with Micro C language is the crux of the project.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES :
