One of the largest motor carriers in the United States.
Due to inability to obtain a position in the field of engineering, I branched outside of my field and acquired a position as an Over-the-
Road, Long-Haul Truck Driver, while continuing to seek employment within the engineering field. Although the position was not in
the engineering field; the experience gave me a unique perspective of the importance of designing goods and services that fully meet
the specifications of the customer.
Blum Consulting Engineers Inc.: Dallas, TX. 2008-2009
Contracted though AeroTek and then brought on direct to Blum, a well respected MEP consulting engineering firm in the Dallas/Ft.
Worth Metroplex. Worked on Time-shares, Residential and Commercial High Rise projects as well as Commercial, Medical and Civic
Projects.
Mechanical & Plumbing Designer
• Produced Mechanical Design and Plumbing drawings, Ran Heat Load Programs, and Produced SD, DD, & CD Dwg’s as
required.
• Sized, Selected and Scheduled equipment for use on project.
• Laid out water and waste, and sizing lines.

• Implemented changes where appropriate to adjust for alterations to the background and mark-ups that were made, and let the
Engineer know where adjustments were made.
• Responsible for area take offs for the establishment of HVAC system loads, and Special Systems Engineering that included
all disciplines on a wide variety of tasks.
• Mentored a High School Student one summer. Taught New Engineers and New CAD staff the company standards of
production, assessed their abilities and showed them more efficient ways to work.
