- Responsible for research and development of core technologies enabling
user to communicate in various wireless environment including WiFi,
WiMAX, and DMB, managing 4 projects of 60 engineers; SW Modem, Modem
SoC, RFIC & MEMS, MIMO Antenna.
- Special duty is finding new business model combining ICT and Health
Care, managing development of Home Patient Terminal caring patients
with diabetes, high blood pressure, heart trouble, testing with
hospital in US
Senior Research Engineer, Project Leader (Jan. 1997- Dec. 2006)
- Responsible for research in future wireless communications, managing
Modem Technology Group, managing many projects. Responsibility includes
tracking technology and market trend, making technology strategy, and
establishing relations for partnership with other research
organizations.
- As a modem technology leader, responsibility included leading modem
technology group of 48 research engineers working in many wireless
communication projects; 4G(MIMO-OFDM), WiFi(802.11n), WiMAX, UWB, DMB,
making strategy of technology & patent, researching on common core
technologies, and advising standard activity
- As a project leader, responsibility included researching on mobile
communication (W-CDMA), contributing to Global Standard, developing
MIMO technology and multi-mode modem architecture.
- Special duty was leading TF group to make the R&D strategy of future
mobile communication to become leading company in 4G mobile standard.
Research Engineer, Project Leader (Sep. 1990- Dec. 1996)
- Responsible for research on new technology for color & storage device,
managing project of up to 7 engineers
- Responsibility included researching DSP algorithm to increase storage
density and developing SoC for HDD, DVD, researching on color signal
processing to generate real-color on TV, color scanner/copier.

microwave communications in Korea.
