-Legal Secretary - Temporary Assignment at Foley & Lardner, Palo Alto, California

Assignment was with a litigation attorney specializing in Intellectual Property Law. Responsible for

maintaining attorney’s calendar, scheduling depositions, scheduling conferences with opposing counsel and

witnesses, coordinating attorney’s travel arrangements, processing reimbursements to attorney for expenses and

entering attorneys time into firm billing program for monthly bills to clients. Responsibilities included

preparation and proofing of pleadings, etc. and e-filing and physically filing the same with the appropriate

Courts. Responsible for ensuring service of documents filed with the courts and counsel was successfully

completed.

At this well established Intellectual Property law firm my assignment was with three attorneys - one

Principal and two Associates. Responsibilities included the preparation of pleadings, discovery and

correspondence; physical (under seal) and e-filing of pleadings with both the U.S. District Courts and State

Superior Courts, calendaring deadlines, processing reimbursements to attorneys through accounting, arranging

depositions (securing court reporters, videographers, arranging meal service and reserving office space), making

travel arrangements and verifying current Court rules in various jurisdictions. Excellent communication skills

and the ability to work as a team player under extreme pressure were essential in the position.
