Staff training. Working in tandem with another manager, created a training protocol for

new employees a two-week orientation and training designed to fast-track new hires
into their new roles. The outcome: Reduced turnover, enhanced service to consumers and
improved employee satisfaction.
Payroll administration. Working with the finance director, oversee and manage the

issuance of employee payroll for approximately 140 staff members ensuring that all
employee information is recorded and processed properly. The benefit: Accurate and timely

Recruited for position by former colleague. Set-up and developed the HR Department for an
organization of up 80 employees. Managed and coordinated all HR functions and strategies,
including benefits, compensation, employee development and payroll. Created, documented,
and implemented job descriptions. Directed the performance appraisal process. Position
eliminated due to the purchase of the business and the subsequent consolidation of services.
• Benefits. Negotiated an expansion of employee benefit offerings. The results: Greater
selection and a 15% annual savings for employer and employee.
• Staff training. Implemented employee development program designed to improve
performance and address corrective action needs. The results: Decreased unemployment
