WORK EXPERIENCE:
QA Tester, UPS, Chantilly, VA September 2011 – December
2012
The Mailbox.etc system consolidates mail information between different stores
across multiple locations. The project involved compiling a large set of data and
generating reports based on specific filters.
Involved in creating source target mappings, created fact and dimension table
implementation in Star Schema model
Tested design strategy of ETL for various ODW tables, mappings, sample data,
mappings transformations like Filter, Joiner, Sequence Generator and
Aggregator and performed query overrides in lookup transformation for
performance enhancements
Prepared technical specifications and Source to Target mappings
Experience with SQL programming in developing functions, procedures, packages,
triggers and views to implement business rules and security
Experience using query tools for Oracle to validate reports and troubleshoot data
quality issues and extensively used Informatica PowerCenter for ETL
processes
Reported testing including verifying data from various Data Marts
Extracted data from various sources like Oracle, flat files and SQL Server
Validated Cube and Query Data from the reporting system back to the source
Applied appropriate validation rules and created workflow parameters to check the
validations are correct so that the workflow execution should stop.
Extensively used SQL/XQuery to validate the XML data and databases
QA Tester, TechISys, Ashburn, VA January 2010 August 2011
The Case Management System developed by TechISys tracks client
progress from the point of checking in to a health care center to getting
discharged. It stores all the pertinent patient information such as initial referral,
screening, diagnosis, progress notes, assessment, treatment plan and
discharge.
Involved in testing Web Services using SOAP UI and QTP
Used SOAP UI to discover web service clients and test them interactively. Also
used it to develop Test Suites and Test Cases and performed load tests
Used DataSource to create data driven tests and make requests with multiple
sets of data
Used DataSource Loop for testing specified number of records
Used DataSink to capture responses in reportable format
Developed Assertions in SOAP UI to validate the response with the expected
result. The results are then exported to a XLS using XPath
Developed mock services to test if the actual service is unavailable
Used XQuery extensively to query XML data
Designed descriptive programming, dynamic objects and reusable actions in
defining scenario flows using QuickTest Professional
Performed Data Driven Test using QTP
Performed Database Validation by using SQL queries in SQL Navigator
Analyzed and categorized defects based on severity using Quality Center
