caters to the growing market for gas and dual fuel engines.

In this role I was reporting to Dy. General Manager Offshore Engineering – PGBU

Engineering and responsible for interacting with offshore customers to understand

requirements, Designing and development of various Gensets Systems/ Acoustic

Enclosure, Working on PDM, PLM Matrix System work as required to support Value

Package Introduction Engineering projects in given timeline. Responsible for working

with outside vendors/ subcontractors to complete detailed projects and managing work

within schedule, resources and budget by effective project management.

The details of the various assignments that I have handled at Cummins India at the position of

Manager–Engineering for Power Generation of Business Unit are as follows:-

Worked on VPI Project, responsible for the engineering of total project (Genset) till release to mass production.

Responsible and carries following activities project management, engineering activities, proto building, testing and

validation.

1) Lead cross functional design reviews, DFMEA, DFM, DFA and cost reduction sessions.

2) Project management – Meet established goals within time, cost, quality and resource constraint.

3) Effective management of bill of material (BOM) and change management (ECR/ECO process) throughout the

product development cycle.

4) Effective management of generator set variants using configuration management techniques.

5) Design and development of generator set systems, subsystems and components.

Handling offshore clients of UK and China.

Completed project for Cummins China Matrix database for Pioneer 3.9G4 project.

Mar 2005 to April 2008 Automobile Corporation of Goa Ltd.

Automobile Corporation of Goa Ltd. (ACGL), the first major engineering unit to be set up in Goa jointly

promoted in 1980 by Tata Motors Ltd and Economic Development Corporation of Goa Ltd. In 1987, the

Company entered into a Technical Collaboration Agreement with Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd., Japan, and

set up a full-fledged Bus Body Building Division. Today, ACGL is an ISO 9001:2000 certified Company

which builds the bus coaches for various domestic and international customers.

3 Year working as for FEA (Linear Static Analysis) Department in Bus Body in which 1 year as a Team

Lead (Senior Officer) for Automobile Corporation of Goa Limited.

My areas of expertise included Analysis of bus structures and sub systems for stress and displacement, all technical

aspects of the analysis, build the F.E. models, apply all appropriate loads, boundary conditions and material properties,

solve the model, post process the results, and make recommendations on the design modifications, and work directly

with the designers to incorporate these modifications.

1) Worked on various TATA range products for Airport, Domestic and Export buses for Validation, Prototyping and

Testing as per various regulations (AIS, SAE)

2) Implementation and documentation of TS 16949/2002 done for ACGL Design and Development Dept. Certified

1. 2D to 3D modelling and Optimization of STAR 1510/53 and 6HD bus.

2. Finite Element Analysis of RESLF Philippines bus structure.

3. Optimization of the structure of 6HD bus for weight reduction and hence the cost
