During after hours, handled and investigated all calls in to public works, such as broken water

Plant Operator

2003 to 2006

Benning Road is a 575 megawatt oil fired plant.

Duties: to open and close 69K+230K M.O.D./gas transformers with nitrogen when required to

open and close 4160 +480 Breakers as required or lockout/tagout. To assist in rolling of turbine.

Maintain hydrogen system. Monitor D.W. water; run R.O. units as needed, walk down 1 B.W.

boiler and 1 C.E. boiler for startup or maintenance and to monitor all aux. equipment. To start

up 400 lb. aux. boiler with foxbourgh controls and C.E.M.S. equipment with aux. equipment.

BUZZARD POINT, WASHINGTON D.C.

Buzzard has 16 frame 5 simple cycle turbines. Worked with maintenance, unload fuel oil. In off

hours if PJM called, would travel to plant, start turbines, syncro and load turbines and call in

man power.

Mechanic and Welder

For B.W. Alston, Foster Wheeler at Mt. Storm, Brandon Shores, Wagner Station, Montour, and

other coal fired plants. Duties included water walls, super heaters, air heaters, pump motors,

replacements and cooling tower repair.

Trained for Start-up engineer to travel to start up 12 sister plants. Company went into

bankruptcy. I accepted fulltime position as shift supervisor CRO for incinerators. Duties

included CRO and shift supervisor in a union plant. First grade engineer to operate plant within

its permit levels to maintain boilers and C.E.Ms within safe and efficient operating conditions

.C.E.Ms included CO,SO2, HCL, NOX, Opacity and 02 to maintain operations, temperatures

and equipment through scrubber systems to Corpus Turbines monitor all auxiliary equipment.

Monitored radiation from nuclear medicine when detectors alarm sounded. Responsible to

evacuate perimeter, suit up in lead safety gear, of reading and action. Restore operations of

plant. Any duties as shift supervisor involving operation of plant and employees.
