Recent Graduate of West Virginia University where I majored in geography with a focus in
Geographic Information Systems and minored in Business Administration. I worked as a
research assistant for Chris Tucker at the MapStory Foundation from May 2012 August 2012. I
am seeking a position as a GIS specialist at an innovative company where I can apply all my
skills and experience for the growth of the company.

Technical Expertise Through my coursework at West Virginia University I have completed a
certificate in Cartographic design from ESRI. I have also developed expertise with ArcGIS
desktop 9.3 and 10.0 and have basic skills in ERDAS IMAGINE.
Experience
The MapStory Foundation Washington D.C. May 2012 August 2012
While working with Chris Tucker at the MapStory Foundation I was able to utilize my skills in GIS
to upload data to the website and provide feedback as a beta tester . In addition my
responsibilities included contacting various data sources to obtain data and permission to use
the information on the website. I leveraged skills and concepts I learned while at WVU and
applied them to various projects. In addition I tested the site for functionality and reported any
issues and recommendations for improvements to the development team. I provided support to
Mapstory at GEOINT 2012, demonstrating the MapStory website to attendees and conveyed the
features and benefits of the site to the GEOINT community. I also attended the World Wide
Human Geography Data Working Group as a representative of the foundation.
Diamond Ridge and Woodlands Golf Course, Baltimore, M.D. 2008 2011
I started out as a golf cart attendant. My main responsibilities were to ensure that the carts were
clean and in working order,maintain the driving range and assure that the facility was clean and
presentable to customers. In 2009 I moved up to ranger where I maintained the pace of the golf
course and settled minor disputes between customers. From 2010 2011 I worked in the
pro shop using the computer reservation system to make reservations for customers. I was also
responsible for receiving payment for greens fees, cart rentals and shop merchandise.
Race Pace Bicycles, Baltimore, M.D. 2006 2008
Helped customers find the right bicycle for their lifestyle and needs. Assembled bicycles for
people of all ages and ensured they were safe to ride. Also responsible for restocking
merchandise, helping customers find specific products, and checking them out at the cash
register. Ensured the store and shop area was clean, organized, and presentable to customers.

USGIF Young Professionals Group March 2013 present
Participate in community service events and events to advance the geospatial tradecraft.
West Virginia University Golf club 2010 2012
Participated in weekly golf outings and practices with other WVU students. Also participated in
community service with the club at local charities.
Habitat for Humanity June 2008 2011
Volunteered during build week in Sandtown, Baltimore to support the development and
revitalization of an urban community. Tasks performed included demolition, construction, and
warehouse organization.
