PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Currently: Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army serving as Deputy,
Mission Command Complex (Bldg. 1094), Brigade Modernization Command.
Will retire with over 20 years of active military service in the United
States Army. Have served in positions of increased responsibility from 2nd
Lieutenant to Lieutenant Colonel in the Combat Engineers and the Simulation
Operations functional area (FA-57). See attached Officers Record Brief
(ORB).
"Captains Call to Active Duty":
Returned to Active duty with the U.S. Army as a Captain (O-3) on August 15,
2000 at Fort Benning, GA: 317th Engineer Battalion (3rd Infantry Division).
July 1999 to August of 2000 - LOUISIANA PACIFIC CORPORATION (Hanceville,
AL)
Plant Environmental Manager. Responsible for all parts of environmental
compliance; air, ground water, and waste handling at the Hanceville, AL OSB
Plant. Kept all records for Title V Air Permit and maintained liaison
between the state of AL and Corporate Environmental Office. Kept the Plant
Manager advised on environmental requirements and issues.
July 1998 to July 1999 - NORTH GEORGIA COLLEGE AND STATE UNIVERSITY
(Dahlonega, GA) - Director Of Cadet Recruiting. Recruited high school
seniors to attend "The Military College of Georgia" by giving classroom
presentations, college fairs, etc., to fill the incoming freshman class
with top rate cadets for the Senior ROTC program. My wife is from
Dahlonega, GA.
October 1994 to July of 1998 -ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT CORPORATION
(SUBSIDIARY OF INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION - (Durham, NC) -
Environmental Engineer. A Junior Engineer working on air permitting, air
emission inventories, remediation, soil and ground water sediment sampling,
as well as various - environmental jobs with Phase I Environmental Survey
Experience.
October 1992 to November 1994 - INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION
(Durham, NC) - Environmental. Engineer. Performed air emission
inventories, groundwater and soil sediment sampling and conducted stack
tests (SO2, CO, NOx) for compliance with air permits. Worked on "Super
Fund Site" (Fernald, Ohio) for large remediation teams.
November 1991 to September 1992 - ACUREX ENVIRONMENTAL CORPORATION (Durham/
Research Triangle Park, NC) - Test Engineer. Tested for Flue Gas
desulphurization projects in the "High Bay" of the old Environmental
Protection Agency Bldg. Conducted numerous runs using Continuous Emissions
Monitors (CEMS) and used data to develop additional testing for this
important project.
Separated from the U.S. Army as a Captain (O-3) on Sept. 01, 1991 at Fort
Benning, GA, to return to civilian life after serving in OPERATION DESERT
STORM.
June 1984 to September 1991 - UNITED STATES ARMY OFFICER (Ft. Sill, OK,
Korea, and Ft. Benning, GA) - 2LT. to CPT. - Served in various combat
engineer positions from Platoon Leader and Executive Officer to General's
Aide with several infantry divisions, world wide.
