criminal justice.
EXPERIENCE
Community Service Foundation/Buxmont Academy, Sellersville, PA October
2004 - present. Teach math to at-risk teenagers, teenagers on probation
and Children and Youth referrals. Work with multiple levels of ability at
the same time. Became math chairperson in 2009. Second job as "filer"
which entails keeping the files current for all students. Need to send for
academic and health records, print out intakes and individual service plans
to put in the file, and keep the file organized. Also do data entry for
the Aggression Replacement Training program.
Allentown Business School, Center Valley, PA 18034. October 1997 to April
2004. Worked mainly as an instructor for various mathematics and software
courses. Was a member of many committees including Customer Service and
the College Committee. Assisted with the PAL program. Created and
administered placement tests. Tutored after school.
Sylvan Learning Center, Easton, PA 18032. 1990 - 1998. Duties included
tutoring secondary math, writing reports, administering diagnostic testing,
evaluating test results, training new employees, and computer work.
Substitute Teaching:
Salisbury School District, Allentown, PA 18103. 1998 - 1992. Worked
as a substitute teacher in both the middle and high schools.
Whitehall-Coplay School District, Whitehall, PA 18052. 1989 - 1991.
Worked both as a day-to-day substitute and as a full-time substitute.
Taught Trigonometry and General Math.
Northwestern Lehigh School District, New Tripoli, PA 18066 1998 -
1991. Worked as a day-to-day substitute at the high school.
Also substituted for the Parkland and Allentown School Districts.
Allied Temporary Services, Allentown, PA 18103. 1988 - 1991. Worked as a
temporary in a variety of clerical positions including receptionist, credit
verifier, and data entry. Worked at Air Products, Lower Macungie Township,
Schindler Elevator, Dun and Bradstreet to name a few. Also worked in the
Allied Office as a receptionist.
VOLUNTEERING
Eyer Middle School, Macungie, PA 18062. May 2004 - October 2009. Worked
once a week in the school library.
Macungie Elementary School, Macungie, PA 18062. 2001 - 2003. Worked for
various events including family night and the end of the year fair.
