PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
Over the course of 20+ years in the high-tech / semiconductor industry, I
exhibited strong analytical, problem solving, and leadership skills while
serving in management and engineering roles within startup and established
enterprises. My expertise encompasses management of engineering resources
in hardware and software, process/methodology development, project
planning, budgeting, contract negotiations, client/investor relations,
establishing a DSP design center and staffing it. I am adept at
identifying opportunities, working with multi-functional, geographically-
dispersed teams, and facilitating continuous process improvement. I hold
PMP certification and Master of Science degree in electrical and computer
engineering (microelectronics). Key professional highlights include the

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
> Established a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) design center in Austin
for Analog Devices, Inc (ADI)
> Ensured completion and tapeout of the company's latest-generation
floating point DSP product, which went into production on first
tapeout, first silicon within 18 months after establishing the new DSP
design center.
> Guided the design and introduction of SoC design and verification
methodologies, which were shared with four other design centers in the
US, Israel, and India
> Instrumental in proposing and initiating a joint development and co-
managing efforts between ADI and Intel teams in Austin, TX, that
resulted in the development of the Blackfin DSP core, which was later
used in ADI's Blackfin products and Intel's Xscale products with
several successful derivative products by both companies
> Upgraded the product development management process for ADI's DSP
division, from new product proposal to product release
> As Project/Program manager, also facilitated rollout of the new
process on Blackfin core-based DSP and wireless products
> Collaborated with design centers in Asia and the US to migrate,
assimilate, and transition technologies upon the acquisition of Analog
Devices Inc. (ADI) Wireless Division by Mediatek Wireless
> Directed geographically dispersed engineering efforts in implementing
wireless product designs as well as migrating tools and methodologies,
including IO libraries
> Led multidisciplinary teams at ADI in implementing advanced and
competitive technologies for re-use and global delivery, including IO
libraries that helped reduce silicon die size over 16.8% and saved the
company an estimated $300M+ in less than two years
> Principal IC Designer /Manager for Motorola's PowerPC 620
microprocessor, circuit design (custom and semi-custom ASIC SOC), and
timing optimization
> Technical Team Lead for Motorola's M88K RISC Processors and Cache
Memory Management (CMMU) and hyperSPARC processors and Cache MMU
designs at Ross Technology/Cypress Semiconductor
WORK HISTORY

Present
> Provide Project Management consultation for software development,
testing and SoC design
> Marketing consultation and website development, maintenance and
hosting services to local small businesses
> Assist startup companies with business plans in preparation for seed
funding.
> Analyze various energy investment opportunities; generate marketing
material for monetizing Joint Ventures
> Ventures Project Program Management with onsite supervision of oil &
gas production facilities development
> Hired and managed landman, petroleum engineers, geologist and various
oilfield services as needed

Analog Devices, Inc (ADI)
1996 - 2008
Senior Staff Member (Advanced Technology Development & Project Manager)
2003 - 2008
> Led a multidisciplinary team from several departments and divisions to
implement advanced and competitive technologies for global delivery
> Technologies were oriented toward ADI internal use and reuse of
competitive leading-edge IO Libraries. These libraries were quickly
adopted by various divisions in digital, analog, mixed signal, and RF
products. They reduced silicon die size by an average of 16.8% over
traditional methods used at the time
> Hosted several workshops, which aided in accelerating the reuse of the
new IO libraries and was quickly migrated to various process
technologies from 0.35um to 40nm within ADI
> Company cost savings within less than 2 years were in excess of $300M
(estimate) due to silicon size reduction alone and based on ~48
products across various divisions of the company. A similar library
was later implemented, made commercially available and supported by
TSMC
> Provided technical consultation and mentorship in the use and
implementation of this technology in Digital Base Band products for
ADI's Wireless & RF Division with global teams in US, Europe, & Asia
Senior Staff Member (Product Development Management & Program Manager)
2001 - 2003
> Co-Lead of a multidisciplinary senior team in upgrading the DSP
division's Product Development Management process. This covered the
entire development cycle from New Product Proposal, Product Release to
Production, including product End of Life-Cycle
> Facilitated the roll-out of the new management process on first two
successful DSP products with multifunctional teams, geographically
dispersed
> Facilitated team meetings, and communications with upper management
and stakeholders
DSP Design Center Manager (Director of Engineering & Project manager)
1996 - 2001
> Established the Austin DSP design center in 1996, and directed the
engineering team in the design, implementation and verification
efforts to a successful completion and tapeout of ADI's next
generation Floating Point DSP Product (hammerhead), went into
production on first silicon.
> Directed the engineering efforts in developing and introducing
advanced SOC design and verification methodologies, led, shared and
exchanged methodologies and tools with 4 other DSP design centers
within the company in the US, Israel and India
> In search for funding solutions for ADI's internal New Instruction Set
Architecture, for a leading edge DSP core technology, was instrumental
in initiating a joint development effort between ADI and Intel which
eventually led to the development of the BLACKFIN DSP core that was
later used in all of ADI's Blackfin products and Intel's Xscale
products with several derivatives
