To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Manuel Andrade and I am looking to secure a new position that will take my professional career to
the next level. I currently work as a senior admission counselor for the ITT Technical Institute, Norwood Ma
Campus. ITT Technical Institute is a nontraditional school and my student’s diverse needs require me to provide
numerous services. On a typical day I serve as a recruiter, mentor, academic counselor and financial adviser. I
have knowledge of the financial aid process and find comfort in performing the more sales oriented aspect of my
position where I am expected to contact potential students while getting referrals and acquiring new leads.
Because I am solely held accountable for the students that I enroll my work is extremely consistent and there
truly is a need for me to pay attention to the small details, specifically company policies and procedures. I
maintain a very high level of customer service and my oral and written communication skills are solid. The results
driven nature of my job also requires me to be adaptable to high pressure situations and specific deadlines. I
maintain my own calendar and mainly work independently and also as a team member throughout the day so I
am definitely at ease when placed in a variety of work environments.
Although I work for a nontraditional college I have the experience of working for a traditional school as well. When
I was a student at the Johnson & Wales University I was an active participant in various school organizations and
committees, I also worked as peer mentor for first year students, my work with this organization developed into a
direct relationship with the admissions department where I gave tours to prospective students, hosted overnight
events and participated in college fairs and high school information sessions. These are some of my most
rewarding professional and personal experiences.
Two words that describe me are driven and committed and I hope that my organizational and professional
backgrounds are good indicators of these qualities. My various experiences give me confidence to not only
survive but also thrive in any professional environment and if you are looking for someone who is hardworking,
ethical and driven I am definitely the right person. I look forward to discussing how my relevant skills and
experiences can be of value as your organization moves forward.
Regards,
Manuel Andrade
