MetLife

Global Environment Infrastructure Manager 2012- Present

• Developed, managed Microsoft System Center project to plan, design and implement the core

components of this solution on a cloud shared services within MetLife Investment ($3.5 Million).

• Managed a proof of concept to validate MSC after collaborating, evaluating and testing 7

different product/ vendors ( IBM, Microsoft, HP, Dell, Veem, CA and CSC)

• Managed a complex migration project where 89 complex applications and their derivatives were

migrated from MetLife to third party virtual cloud hosted infrastructure that included all of its SDLC

which includes initiation, development, plans, design, implementation and resource management as

well as stake holders resource assignment.( $24 Million)

• Developed a MetLife Investment technology infrastructure strategic assessment where increased

user and customer satisfaction were accomplished as well as improvement of service delivery

• Developed an optimization plan that effectively transcends organization focus on cost reduction and

leveraged the three fundamental IT values ( People, Process and Technology)

• Reviewed Infrastructure architecture to evaluate process and technology to improve business continuity

• Developed a technology infrastructure model to form an Infrastructure Environment Management Team

SVP Global Operational Head of Shared Services- Cloud Computing 2008-

2012

• Responsible for managing Shared Service department which provides services to all business lines in

North America. Functional areas include; Virtual Desktop Support, Release Management, Software

Delivery, Vulnerability Threat Management, and Service Desk for +180,000 desktops. All of which are

considered amongst industry leaders in terms of size, volume and service levels. Staffing of +52

employees and contractors.

• Direct responsibility for all cloud computing operational support/reengineering functions globally which

include, but are not limited to: operational efficiency, infrastructure optimization, and service level

attainment.

• Direct responsibilities for the plan, implementation and migration of over 100 MS Exchange 2005 to

2007 that included clustering and data replication on a SAN Private cloud.

• Direct responsibilities for Windows 7 migration into virtual cloud to over 25000 customers included

provisioning, data migration and all related profiles.

Senior Vice President of Citi Global Infrastructure Technology 2004-

2007

• Responsible for delivering large scale technology solutions to all North America based clients. Under

my stewardship the department provided innovative technologies that reduced $50 million dollars of

operating expense while improving service levels by double digits. The department’s three functional

areas are; Engineering, Integration & Asset Management. Staffing of +40 employees and contractors.

Global Citi Wintel Engineer and Integration 2000-2004

• Designed, implemented and managed a formal 3rd level global problem management function for

Citigroup Chief Technology Officer (CTO) that introduced improved metrics to help identify and

resolve issues, clarify problem ownership, ensure root cause analysis, and improve communication flow

amongst all concerned parties. These improvements helped the organization provide a higher level of

service by reducing trouble tickets by 15%, lowering operating costs by $10 million and improving client

satisfaction by 5%. Directly managed 12 employees and matrix managed over 50.

Deutsche Bank 07/99 – 02/00

Senior System Engineer/Manager

• Managed a team of 8 System Engineers to overseas Project wide area network

• Created and executed project work plans within all of the bank applicable application

• Planned and design the setup of the Enterprise Administrator from Mission Critical to manage all

Windows NT users, groups and resources on the Enterprise Network.

• Installing Microsoft Windows NT and 2000 Cluster on Compaq Enterprise Proliant servers 6400 and

6500 in a (Storage Aria Network) SAN in a Fiber Optic channel arbitrated loop.

• Managed the project of migration all windows NT servers into windows 2000 cluster servers

• Upgrading the Infrastructure for Windows Internet Name Service (WINS) servers.

• Worked on fiber switch connection with load balance redundant path to EMC storage system, Storage

Tech and Compaq subsystems.

• Installing volume Logic to protect all systems from taking over the NT volumes.

• Planned, Designed and implemented the Prudential Securities Domain infrastructure with Multiple

Master Domain in an Account and resource Domain with one or two way trusts.

• Migrated over 300 NT 3.5 servers to Microsoft NT4.0 servers Installed Microsoft NT Cluster on

Compaq 800, 2500 and 6500 Proliant servers with S-100 SCSI controllers in SCSI subsystems.

• Setup Windows NT server on a Compaq stand-by server. Setup and trouble shoot SMS infrastructure

with over 13000 Workstation in 5 central and child site.

• Setup SMS 1.2 server to get hardware and software inventory, push various software and applications to

workstations.

• Generate trends and reports from SMS for future projected infrastructure growth. Setup Site server and

multiple IIS-Cluster servers with load balancing.

• Created web pages with MS-FrontPage 97 and Office 97 to publish Technical documentation. Planning

and designing the migration of Novell NetWare 3.11, 3.12 and 4.11 with 450 servers to Windows NT

multi node Cluster Servers with over 20.000 users.

• Responsible for writing technical documentation for all assigns projects including planning, migration

and implementation.

Major Accomplishments

• Managed internal initiatives to rationalize and consolidate technical infrastructures producing in excess

of $50 Million expense reductions including a server virtualization which eliminated +1000 servers.

• Directed major operational effectiveness and efficiency efforts which resulted in improved performance

against a rigorous set of service quality metrics and an ongoing, double digit percentage improvement in

service levels.

• Rated within the top 10% of all Citigroup management by executive management for the previous 10

consecutive years.

• Established four organizational entities that remain in service today; Service Management, Release

Management, Vulnerability Lifecycle Management and Virtual Desktop Support.

• Managed major institutional Merger activities including technology platforms, infrastructure, and

business application systems for the Salomon Smith Barney/Citicorp and the Citigroup/EAB mergers.

Merger/Consolidation saves were in excess of $20 Million.

• Developed Enterprise Mobility strategy centered on a Bring Your Own Device (B.Y.O.D) model which

eliminated $40 Million in operating expenses.

• Executed Citi's PC Power Management global initiative which reduced PC energy consumption and

associated costs by as much as 40% annually, and resulted in a 2% reduction of Citi's global CO2

emissions

• Engineered a production solution to address compliance findings for infrastructure monitoring by
