Engineering Analyst – JBS Solutions Incorporated: Feb 2013-May 2013 (end of contract)

•Supported efforts on a NASA contract to write a Systems Requirements Document detailing requirements for the development of a Nano-Satellite Launcher.

•Responsibilities of this project included; gathering requirements and determining what ground rules and assumptions were important for the project, writing/editing a systems requirement document that followed a NASA SRD template, keeping up with new actions and ideas presented by the customer, and presenting weekly status updates to the customer either via teleconference or table-top meetings.

•Required to be proficient in technical writing, verbal and written communication, and organization

Math Lab Tutor/Manager – Calhoun Community College, Huntsville Campus: 2008-2011

• Kept other Math Lab tutors on task and up to date with daily assignments

Senior Design, UAH IPT:

•Worked with the winning IPT (Integrated Product Team) of students from UAH, College of Charleston, and ESTACA, in France, on a Boeing sponsored project over two semesters to design a theoretical mission to send a lander to Mercury

•Designed the thermal system for the mission using Mathcad to construct a 1D thermal model

•Wrote and presented design techniques and results of the thermal model to a board of NASA engineers and private industry professionals

Space Craft Design:

•Designed trade studies in order to determine mission feasibility of sending an orbiter to an outer planet using given requirements and inputs

•Determined the appropriate architecture, propellant loading, required Isp of propellant, and difference in energy production of several different propulsion systems

Rocket Propulsion:

•Designed trade studies for objectives including determining nozzle sizing, energy requirements for space craft maneuvers, and propellant loads

•Created Power Point presentations detailing design techniques, data, and results

Numerical Methods:

•Used MATLAB to study and understand different numerical methods including optimization, linearization of data, and trapezoidal rule

•Created a predator-prey model in order to compare the Euler and Runge-Kutta methods and determine which was the more accurate method
