PROJECT WORK:

POST GRADUATE: A NOVEL VIDEO ENHANCEMENT PREPROCESSOR FOR VIDEO

CONFERENCING USING ROI METHOD

Its ROI based video preprocessor method that deals with the perceptual quality in a

low-bit rate communication environment. Three separate processes - ROI detection, the

image enhancement, and the boundary reduction are proposed to deliver better video

quality at the video conferencing application for use in a fixed camera and to be compatible

as a preprocessor with the conventional video coding standards.

UNDER GRADUATE: WIRELESS ARM BASED AUTOMATIC METER READING AND

FUSE

FAULT DETECTION.

The WAMR is designed based on a 32-bit ARM microprocessor to deal with power

data processing and relay control. In order to provide a cost-effective, wireless, two-way

data link between utility company and WAMR, the WAMR sends information of utility

usage, power quality and outage alarm to utility company via GSM network. Compared

with analog utility meter reading by manpower,WAMR is more accurate, reliable, cost-

effective, quick and free from man-made errors. It can provide extra capabilities such as if

the consumer fails to pay the bill within due date the power supply will be automatically

disconnected. Also the failure of the fuse can be detected.

Note: Used MATLAB for simulation and reporting.
