- Constantly travel to East Coast BB&T location to replace Windows Server 2003 with Window Server 2008.
- Take charge of migrating SQL and shares from old to new server and correcting Robocopy errors.
- Regularly interface and communicate with financial center leaders in the BB&T branch to convey business development and status.
- Ensure all users, files, shares, and other contents are copied from the old server into the replacement server.
- Organize and arrange upgrade sites meeting through phone and email correspondence.
- Devise and add offline administrator accounts to administrators group.
- Hold accountable for securing proper connection of the server; confirming the crossover cable connectivity; and renaming replacement server.
- Perform System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) updates, Machine Policy Retrieval, batch file running, Windows Updates and Powerware installation, Powerware services configuration, ILO’s IP address verification, branch automation reinstallation.
- Work on verifying necessary updates and installation of System Center Operations Manager (SCOM); clearing of event logs and integrated management logs; and locking of network interface controller (NIC) Port to 100 full.
