Performance Evaluation of Sewage Treatment Plant at HITM, Agra

2012-2013

. Major treatments are made in treatment plant on physical, chemical and

biological properties of wastewater.

. Performance evaluation of HITM sewage treatment plant of 300 KLD which

is based on biological treatment.

. The study was conducted to determine the pollutants level in final

treated water from sewage treatment plant HITM and compare with BIS

and World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines.

. Improving water quality of receiving water bodies (lakes and rivers)

through better treatment performance in the WWTP.

. Reducing the ecological footprint of the complete wastewater

treatment.

. Reducing disposal costs for sewage sludge (20%), reducing energy costs

25 %, and reducing pollution fees 20 % pollution charge for quality of

effluents.
