Electrician’s Assistant

Assist the electrician in assigned tasks to include: routing EMT piping through needed runs

to ensure all breakers, panels, outlets, and other receptacles receive power; pulling wire

through piping using fishtape or rope; correcting issues customers have to ensure their

current electrical runs and setups are up to new electrical code standards; retro-fitting light

fixtures in large buildings by from older T12 fixtures to new T8 fixtures by replacing ballasts,

sockets, mounts, bulbs, and adding quick connects to hot and neutral wires.

Using hand tools and power tools as required to bend piping, drill through various surfaces,

and punch holes into junction boxes. (Often using sawzall, hammer drill, grinders,

jackhammer, and other various heavy power tools).

Avionics Technician

With limited supervision, interpreted installation drawings, fabricated wire harnesses, installed and

routed electrical cable assemblies, performed multiple termination processes and performed

continuity checks in accordance with standard processes. I also provided my own shadowed and

inventoried toolbox.

Leading technician for Radar Altimeter Warning System, Height

Indicators, and Receiver/Transmitter benches.

Troubleshot incoming gear from squadrons by correctively identifying

problems with it’s associated circuitry through use of electrical

theory, schematics, and testing individual components by means of a

huntron.

Successfully corrected issues in over 200 pieces of incoming gear

while maintaining a 100% under cost Ready-For-Issue rate.

Worked on P-3, S-3, F/A-18, and C-9 aircraft as well as H-60 model helicopters.
