Nevada Department of Transportation – Harris & Associates 2011 – 2012

Senior Construction Manager – Bridge across I-15 and 5th Street – Las Vegas, NV

• Project consisted of two end bents and three piers. End bents and piers were founded on 18” pipe pile closed ends ranging in length from 80’ to 105’ long. Pipe fill with concrete after driven to tip elevation.

• Consultant on construction of super structure which was standard steel girders, total of 4 span with eleven girders each span. Set bearings at each location for steel girders. Contracted to drive pile and erect super structure completed in late September 2012.

Connecticut Department of Transportation – Walsh & PCL (JV) 2010 – 2011

General Superintendent – Bridge Project – New Haven, CT

• Project consisted of four main piers, two across main channel and two anchor piers. Piers founded on drilled shafts. The span across main channel and span to anchor piles were constructed with cast in place concrete with four form travelers. Using the balanced cantilever method the concrete segments were supported by cable stays off main two piers. Six pours were made off each pier, cables were installed on seventh segment. All work was done off trestles and barges.

Federal Highway Administration – Obayashi Corporation 2005 – 2010

Structure Superintendent – Hoover Dam Bypass Colorado River Bridge – Boulder City, NV

• Project consisted of construction of a 1,905’ long open-span deck concrete arch highway bridge, 890’ above the Colorado River, and 1,500’ downstream from the Hoover Dam.

• Foundations were set in the nearly vertical rock walls of Black Canyon, the piers are precast concrete segmental, the concrete arches are cast-in-place with form travelers, and the bridge deck is concrete cast in place over longitudinal steel tub girders. The temporary construction support for the cast-in-place arch consisted of a full cable-stay bridge with two sets of temporary towers. Placement and tensioning of stay cables followed the arch construction out over the river.

KCTR – Missouri Department of Transportation – Edward Kraemer & Sons, Inc 2002 – 2005

Senior Project Manager – Kansas City Terminal Railway – Kansas City, MO

• The Kansas City Terminal Railway involved the rehabilitation of approximately 11,000’ of elevated steel bridge including the rehabilitation of twin truss lift spans over the Kansas River and a twin truss steel bridge demolition over five active railroad lines. The work included the removal and installation of key structural bridge elements, on-time truncated track line outages and assisting the owner with installation of new rail lines.

• Rehab of high line railroad bridge, river crossing and wood deck. Coordination of sub-contractors and craft, scheduling, job cost detailing, material procurement, union contract negotiations, material purchasing and equipment rentals.

• $14 million Lloyd Expressway River Bridge consisting of bridge work, drilled shafts, earth reinforced wall, concrete and asphalt paving.

• $6.8 million railroad bridge consisting of bridge and railroad track work.

231 Wabash River Bridge – Lafayette, IN

• $11.5 million river bridge consisting of coffer cells, drilled shafts, and steel piling.

Volker Stevin Construction, Inc. 1990 – 1992

Project Manager – I-95 Highway Project – Miami, FL

• $10.5 million highway reconstruction, fast track, incentive-based project involving the demolition and reconstruction of bridges while in live traffic in most locations.

Project Manager – Dodge Island Bridge – Miami, FL

• $45 million bridge including pre-stressed segmental concrete, steel box girders, concrete deck.

• $51 million rehabilitation of old freeway which consisted of several bridges, concrete paving, retaining walls, pre-stressed segmental concrete, steel box girders, concrete deck.
