BI Consultant
Work with MicroStrategy clients to develop enterprise level Business Intelligence implementations including requirements gathering, project
management, feasibility analysis, hardware planning, story boarding, design, development, testing, documentation and maintenance.
Work as a Consultant with Professional Services division to provide billable consulting to the end client.
Work includes Schema Designing, Logical Data Modeling, MicroStrategy Architecture and SDK to meet customer’s technical and functional
requirements. Also help in Advisory role to the client as a Technical Expert.
Work as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in MicroStrategy Software Development kit (SDK). MicroStrategy SDK helps in customizing the
MicroStrategy Product Suite. The customizations are performed at User Interface level (look and feel) and functionality changes (code level).
Customizations are performed using Java, JSP and WebASPx. Customization to pass the selector values between dashboards in MicroStrategy
WEB proved very valuable to the client and resulted in a lot of cost savings by avoiding redesigning the dashboard.
Manage all facets of BI engagements which include timely delivery, scoping, scheduling, project staffing, customer satisfaction, project
management, status updates, escalations with Tech support etc.
Define BI strategies / roadmap for end clients. Utilize every opportunity to educate the client about MicroStrategy tool and best practices.
Work on using new MicroStrategy features – Transaction Services (Write back capability) and MicroStrategy Mobile.

Consultant (Hired Full time at Avalon. Avalon is iNEK’s client)
Primarily worked as a Java Developer. Involved in designing of various JAVA/J2EE Web applications using Spring and Struts Framework.
Designed 3 tier web based client/server applications consisting of web browser, servlets and RDBMS.
Avalon specializes in IDOL engine (Intelligent Data Operating Layer) for integrating search capabilities. IDOL returns data in XML format. The
projects extensively involved XML parsing using JAVA. IDOL is an Autonomy product. It fetches data from the database in XML format.
Performed building and deployment of EAR, WAR and JAR files on production systems in Weblogic and Tomcat Web Servers.
Key Clients: Becton & Dickenson (BD), St. Jude Hospital, University of Southern Texas (UTSW), Adventure Kids Playcare (AKP).

Involved in all phases of Software Development Lifecycle. Worked in a very challenging and fast paced high client interaction environment.
Implemented various Web applications in house and for iNEK’s client. Developed user interface using JSP and Struts Tag Libraries.
Managed a small in house team to ensure timely delivery and project specifications meet the target.

Worked with clients to evaluate the performance of Keithley products at various stages in the design process. Products evaluated include
instrumentation hardware, instrumentation firmware, computer software and the electrical components within a design. Write and revise test plans.

Worked on Interactive Voice Response (IVR) coding using AVAYA platform. Developed this IVR Call flow for GE Money, Ireland.

Platform Administrator Program and a hands-on MCD Project.
• TCS Initial Learning Program: TCS provides a two month training program designed for engineers from different domains to build them into
software professionals and potential consultants with required competency levels. The training was catered towards enhancing the technical skills and
the soft skills.
