PROJECT SUMMERY

ACADEMIC PROJECT

TITLE OF PROJECT : Intelligent mobile patient monitoring system.

DESCRIPTION : The purpose of our project is to that track human movements and behavior for Rehabilitative

purposes by applying Dynamic Tim e Warping(DTP).our project consists of two parts Transmitter and Receiver. A

transmitter part is mounted at the user’s waist with a sensor weighing of 50gms.The signal from that user is transmitted

wirelessly to the pc using Zigbee technology. same process happens at the second user also.DTW technique is used to

match and compare these both user signals.

For this process we requires GSM modem with 2.4 Ghz and micro controller(8051 is taken here),body temperature

measuring sensor, heart beat sensor, oscillator circuit for the 8051 and LCD display or pc to display the patient’s value. All

this programming part is done by using KEIL software which can run on windows xp/07.with the esteemed guidance of our

professors in college our batch with five people did this project successfully using the integrated kit of GSM technology and

microcontroller 8051.

ISM PROJECT

TITLE OF PROJECT : DRIVING A STEPPER MOTOR WITH GSM MODEM.

SOFTWARE USED : 1. Keil µ vision.

2. Windows xp (Hyper Terminal program).

ABSTRACT:

In this project, the stepper motor speed can be controlled by sending predefined messages to the modem. The

modem is interfaced with the microcontroller via UART. The user has to send predefined messages to vary the speed and

direction of the motor to the modem. When the modem receives data (SMS), it will intimate the same to the microcontroller.

Now, the controller will read the modems received data by issuing certain AT & T commands.

The modem is interfaced with the microcontroller through serial interface. The controller performs the

corresponding action in accordance with the message received from the modem. The controller in return, sends a message

to the user about the status of the motor. 16X2 LCD is connected at the controller section to display the speed level of the

motor and the angle.

In general there are some situations to control the motors from remote locations. But using wired technology it is a

risky process to control the motors from longer distances. And also using of the wireless technology for smaller distances

may not be a good solution.

This project DRIVING A STEPPER MOTOR WITH GSM MODEM will be use full to control the stepper motor from

the remote locations by using GSM technology. This kind of project will help full for controlling the robots which are having the

stepper motors and like robotic arm for different applications.
