PROJECT DETAILS

CB&I – (Oct 2012 – Present)

1. PETRONAS Floating LNG 2, Offshore Malaysia.

Project Summary: Complete FEED activities for the Process Topsides of a 1.5 MMTPA Floating LNG plant. It

included Inlet facilities (Slug catchers, Separators, Choking), Gas treatment (Acid gas removal unit, Mercury

removal systems, and Molecular sieve dehydration), Liquefaction systems (Heavy hydrocarbon removal,

Liquefaction, refrigeration) and Condensate stabilization system.

Responsibilities: Involved in the complete activities required for FEED for the Gas treatment area and to a

lesser extent Inlet facilities area. Experience included various vendor, licensor and client interactions to

develop the design fully.

Saipem – (Mar 2009 – Oct 2012)

1. Floating LNG Study (Client: Eni)

Project Summary: The Project was a pre-feasibility study for the client Eni for a Floating LNG production

unit off the coast of Africa.

Responsibilities: Process engineering activities including Process Simulation, PFD, Heat and Mass Balance,

Equipment summary and interaction with liquefaction licensor.

2. PETROBRAS Floating LNG, Brazil

Project Summary: The project was a FEED and Pre-EPC for a floating LNG plant off the coast of Brazil.

Responsibilities: Involved primarily in hydraulic and instrumentation sizing during the FEED. During Pre-

EPC, performed control valve and relief valve calculations for the gas treatment and liquefaction sections.

3. Bidirectional LNG Facility Study, Saipem

Project Summary: Detailed Feasibility Report (DFR) on the conversion of an existing import and LNG

regasification plant into a Liquefaction and export terminal for a generic LNG import terminal. Liquefaction

capacity for 1 MMTPA and 4 MMTPA was analyzed and suitable technology options chosen for each case.

Responsibilities: Process engineering activities including Process Simulation, PFD and HMB, fuel gas balance,

refrigeration options and driver selection, preliminary equipment sizing and the feasibility report

preparation.

4. Shah Gas Development, UAE (Client: ADNOC)

Project Summary: The Shah Gas Development (SGD) project is a gas processing detail engineering project.

The highly sour gas from the Shah Gas fields is to be treated in the plant. The plant consists of Slug

Catcher, Condensate Stabilization, Gas Sweetening, NGL Recovery, Refrigeration and Sulphur Recovery

units.

Responsibilities: Process engineering activities such as Control valve hydraulics, relief valve calculations,

P&ID development and Equipment datasheet preparation.

5. LNG Liquefaction Plant, Algeria (Client: Sonatrach)

Project Summary: EPC project for 4.7 MMTPA capacity LNG Plant.

Responsibilities: Detail engineering of PFD’s, MSD’s and P&ID’s and Hydraulic calculations of Pumps and

Control Valves.

1. LNG Regasification Terminal Feasibility Study, India

Project Summary: The project was a proposal to develop a 5 MMTPA LNG Regasification Terminal in India

for the client Essar.

Responsibilities: Performed process simulations and developed preliminary PFD and HMB for the proposal.

2. Valero Petcoke Gasification Project, Port Arthur, Texas

Project Summary: The Valero Petcoke Gasification Project involved gasifying petroleum coke in the Port

Arthur Refinery and then enriching the Hydrogen content in the produced Syngas by passing it through sour

shift reactors. Then high purity Hydrogen is separated out from the Syngas using a Pressure Swing Adsorber

Unit. The project was a pre-FEED level design.

Responsibilities: The assignment was at California office of Fluor and involved activities such as Heat and

Material Balance development of shift unit in ASPEN Plus, Heat integration on the Low Temperature Gas

Cooling (LTGC) of the shift unit, developing the simulation for the compression of captured CO2 to

supercritical conditions for sending to Enhanced Oil Recovery and development of a preliminary PFD.
