EXPERIENCE
I have over 30 years of experience working on the ship as Marine Engineer.
Knowledgeable and well versed with slow,medium and high speed diesel engines including; Wartsila,
Pielstick, Mak, Man, B&W Mitsubishi, Sultzer, Caterpillar, Detroit, and Enterprise.
Knowledgeable with low and high voltage electrical system, diesel propulsion and shipboard systems.
Experience with CPP Propellers, Bow thruster, Hydraulic Machinery, ALPHA-Laval ALCAP Oil
Treatment, Mitsubishi L/O and HFO Purifier. Experience with Fresh Water Generator and
evaporator.
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all the engine room equipment . Assigning specific
maintenance and repair duties to engineering personnel. Responsible for managing the engineering
sub processes to keep the vessel fully operative. I Perform on the job training to engineering personnel
and oversee the professional development of all Engine personnel.
Along with these duties I've also been responsible for the following;
- Ensure all logs are record and properly maintained.
– Performed troubleshooting and repair at all engineering systems.
– Oversaw all maneuvering of the vessel.
– Ensured the engineering spaces are mainted in clean and safe condition.
– Oversee outside labor projects.
– Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirement to keep vessel in compliance .
– Ensured that all workspace activities are carried out in a manner consistent with Safety
and Quality procedures and practices.
– Assist the Master of the vessel as directed
