Personal Statement
I am a friendly, motivated and clearly dedicated person who has an ambition to succeed
in any given environment. Although, I have extensive experience in the
Reception/Clerical, I love to learn, and I am always willing to learn more and I’m up for
challenges. I get along well with others, while also working efficiently on my own. I am
looking for a position where I can develop and excel while giving the best to my
employer.
Work Experience
Receptionist / Administrative Assistant II (May 2010 – Mar 2012)
UCLA Olympic Analytical Laboratory, Los Angeles, CA
• Responsible for providing administrative, clerical, and operational support to
senior management and other scientific personnel.
• Answer telephone, screen calls, and triage to appropriate individuals. Take
detailed, legible, complete messages as needed.
• Greet, sign in, issue badges and, where necessary, escort all visitors; accept and
record deliveries.
• Sort and distribute mail on a daily basis, distribute faxes as they arrive, maintain
facsimile machine, photocopier, and printing calculator.
• Communicate with a variety of individuals, including faculty, staff, students,
vendors, clients, and the general public.
• Prepare and type purchase requisitions, departmental deposit records, repair
authorizations, TSRs, FSR’s, travel vouchers, and personnel documents.
• Prepare incoming invoices for approval and payment, including matching with
original documents and obtaining additional paperwork where necessary.
• Update Admin Electronic files as needed, photocopy variety of materials.
• Assist with Quality and Accreditation procedures and annual review of SOP's in
Admin area and any revising necessary.
• Type a variety of materials, including correspondence, envelopes, labels, forms,
itineraries using MS Office computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and
others).
