Automatic identification, vision system and semiconductor equipment manufacturing company.
Vice-President, New Product Development
Negotiated and managed the acquisition of an automatic identification company (AIID) by RVSI (see below).
The resulting combination expanded sales and marketing coverage for the AIID product portfolio in Asia and Europe.
Resources for continued product development were also greatly expanded.
Developed strategic plan to combine concurrent hardware development efforts in 2D fixed mount reader and smart
camera vision system products, resulting in accelerated new product development and simultaneously maintaining
product compatibility and feature set for an existing and expanding customer base.
Provided source material and effort for product marketing and management of 2D reader product line in support
of worldwide sales activities, resulting in a 50% sales increase of 2D reader products to an expanding customer base.

Led co-development project with AT&T Bell Laboratories for a phone line diagnostic device supporting an AT&T
provisioned 800 line service. Assembled and managed a six-member product development and manufacturing
staff, resulting in the development of the only known phone-line powered microprocessor-based device. Developed
key technology component that enabled phone-line powered operation.
Initiated 2D CCD-barcode reader technology development project, resulting in a successful prototype
