Student Project: Power Generation Using Revolving Door

The Mini Project entitled above is submitted to KALAIVANI COLLEGE OF

TECHNOLOGY in partial fulfilment for the award of the degree of Bachelor of

Engineering in Department of Mechanical Engineering.

Duration : 6 Months

Components : Revolving door panel, fixed wire coil wheel, rotating

magnetic wheel, gear

assembly, rectifier, set of batteries.

Project Description : The project uses the Maxwell's law, which is used

to generate an alternating current (AC) in the coil and to convert AC into

direct current (DC) using rectifier. By using this law, an energy

generating revolving door inspires people to be aware of sustainability and

to implement sustainable strategies in other avenues of their lives.

Project Description : The project is used to improve the mechanical,

physical and thermal properties of the metal under heat treatment processes

such as annealing, normalizing and tempering. After these processes, the

metal pieces undergoing on various test on mechanical properties and all

these properties are compared after and before the heat treatment.
