Transgenic Yeast/Bacterial Lab SFSU Oct 2012 May 2013

Research Assistant Oversaw and made transgenic yeast. Designed plasmids for gene

deletions/insertions into yeast cells and performed confirmation tests for plasmid uptake. Ran

PCR. Worked with Ethanol Precipitation for DNA concentration and Lithium Acetate Kits for plasmid

transformation. Ran agarose gels and Western/Northern blots. Made simple/complex media for cell

growth. Grew/maintained bacterial and transgenic yeast cell lines using replica plating.
